Leading Design Teams

As design expertise grows within organisations, it becomes even more critical for leaders and senior managers to harness this capability effectively. Supporting, enabling and managing design teams to achieve impactful outcomes requires a strong understanding of how best to leverage the potential of design.

This course equips leaders with the necessary skills to drive organisational innovation and change by empowering design teams and growing the measurable value of design. Learners cover: principles and processes of design for leaders and senior managers; design approaches to research and innovation; measuring design impact; design, strategy and leadership; and design, AI and future planning.

By the end of this course, learners are able to:

  • Develop advanced processes and functions for effective design initiatives within the organisation.

  • Formulate an integrated design strategy for innovation.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of design processes and functions.

  • Identify and promote the strategic value of design capabilities.
