Sydney Executive Plus: Geopolitics and Business – Issued by the University of Sydney Business School

 

This microcredential equips participants with the skills to understand economic security approaches around the world; shifting supply chain policies; how firms should respond to regional tensions; emerging market forces in APAC; and how business leaders can anticipate and interpret these shifts.

 

Over five modules, participants engage with leading experts in the field, explore industry case studies, and develop practical skills. The course involves a hands-on project where participants apply their learning to devise a strategic toolkit for adapting to geopolitical disruption within their organisation.

 

Students will:

- Understand the origin of economic security concepts and the use of economics in contemporary geopolitics.

- Anticipate and assess the commercial and operational consequences of geopolitical shocks.

- Identify new markets and upsides amid geopolitical disruption.

- Create a strategic toolkit for adapting to geopolitical disruption. 

 

Completion of the microcredential requires approximately 50 hours of participant effort and involves a final assessment project.

 

This is not a higher education award and not a qualification recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
