Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

This micro-credential has been developed to build knowledge about the applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and equip learners with essential knowledge on the ethical and governance challenges faced when using such applications in the health sector.

Completion of the micro-credential requires approximately 50 hours of participant effort.

Upon completion of this micro-credential, participants will be able to describe different branches of Artificial Intelligence, and how they are being applied in the health sector. They will understand the major ethical and governance considerations when developing and implementing Artificial Intelligence applications for use in healthcare. Learners will also understand the major barriers and enablers to implementation of Artificial Intelligence solutions in health.

This micro-credential may be credit-eligible towards a 6 credit point elective in the Masters in Digital Health and Data Science.

This is not a higher education award and not a qualification recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
